The Indian Ocean Hotel was built in 1968 as part of the White Sands Hotel, which was modeled after the famous Sands Hotel in Las Vegas.
During the 1970’s it was the place for bands to stay and hosted some of the greats of the time including Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, and AC/DC to name a few.
Pop down and have a drink before meeting friends and soak up the vibes, shoot some pool in the Tikki bar, book a table at the quiz night, grab a stool and watch the footy or cricket with the locals, catch a band, have late-night drinks by the pool, there’s plenty going on!
