The name was changed to Ike’s Pizza and created an entirely new type of pizza that featured richer toppings and a more dense crust. In Colorado the state, a variant of the Chicago pie was invented. The version that was created was not as deep as the original and was intended as a desert. In Hawaii the Hawaiian islands, pineapple and ham could be added in the, and this led to a heated debate with the Neapolitans.
