Juniper & Bay – berries and leaves – not only serve as the inspiration for our restaurant’s name but are also a key ingredient in all our stocks and sauces. They help creating a complex and strong backbone in the flavour profiles of our dishes.

After 10 years in East Fremantle’s popular George Street Bistro, Soren and Sabine are now operating their small and intimate fine-dining restaurant in Como. Located at the river end of Preston Street on the premises of the Windsor Lodge Hotel, we offer sophisticated European and Modern Australian cuisine.


Beautifully presented creations of seasonal produce with balanced flavours and complex jus and sauces are the hallmark of our cooking. Our German heritage will show in our signature dish, the Oven Roasted Duck in Port & Prune Jus with Braised Red Cabbage and Dumpling. This dish has been on our menu for well over 10 years now! For a comprehensive sampling of our cuisine you are advised to try the 5 course Degustation menu. With smaller servings and a greater variety of dishes you leave the selection to us and enjoy a well composed progression of entrees, mains and dessert.


Our wine list clearly focuses on Australian titles. Margaret River and the Great Southern are well represented, as well as the warmer growing regions in South Australia. We offer around 15 wines by the glass with something for every taste and budget. We are fully licensed but on Tuesdays, as part of our cellar nights, we would like to invite you to bring a treasured wine from you own collection. A moderate corkage charge of $8/bottle will apply. We offer a selection of assorted domestic and imported beers and have on tap ales from Denmark’s Artisan Brewing, masterfully crafted by WA Brewing Association’s president and Australia’s only certified Cicerone (“Master of beer”) Brian Fitzgerald.
